PLAYER INTERVIEW: Amier Mohammad - LB - 2022

Palmetto Prep Academy's Amier Mohammad recently sat down with Sydney Cassidy to discuss the upcoming season. 

1. What made you choose Palmetto Prep Academy?

Palmetto Prep gives me another opportunity of playing college football. 

2. What high school did you graduate from?

Canisius High School in Buffalo, NY. 

3. What makes you a top prospect at your position in the 2022 recruiting class?

I am very versatile. I can play multiple positions because of my size and speed. Also I'm very experienced; winning a state championship and playing against some of the top schools in the country. 

4. What is one thing that colleges and universities should know about you?

I work hard in the classroom and on the field no matter who's watching. 

5. What are you thinking about majoring in when you get to college?

Business or Sport Management. 

6. What is the best advice you have ever received?

Everything happens for a reason, sometimes good things fall apart so better things can come together. 

7. Overcoming adversity is what defines character; what was the hardest moment in your life to overcome?

I would say one of the hardest moments of my life was when my senior season got delayed because of the pandemic. This put me behind in recruitment so I missed out on a lot of opportunities. I was in a dark stage of my life and I felt like my career was over and that I wasn't going to achieve my dreams until I heard about Palmetto Prep. 

8. Do you have any offers currently?

Before signing with Palmetto Prep I had an offer from Lake Erie College. 

9. If you could sell yourself in one sentence, what would you say?

Amier Mohammad is very dedicated and hungry to be successful and being able to obtain his goals; he is very coachable and willing to do whatever it takes to get better on and off the field.
