PLAYER INTERVIEW: Camren Brigham - DE - 2022
Palmetto Prep Academy's Camren Brigham recently sat down with Sydney Cassidy to catch up on the upcoming season.
1. What made you choose Palmetto Prep Academy?
After high school my coach left and one her did there was no one there to recruit on my behalf. With me transferring to another state and having to quarantine, time and everything else moved slowly. I was just on Twitter direct messaging schools. When I talked to Coach Wes and looked at my situation I knew it was the choice for me. Honestly I had a couple of looks but I felt I had more to show since only playing two years of high school due to injuries.
2. What high school did you graduate from?
Salem High School.
3. What makes you a top prospect at your position in the 2022 recruiting class?
I'm hungry and have been blessed with a son and even though things will be hard, I know I have so many people counting on me back home and it's only right that I put on for myself, my family, and my son, Carmelo.
4. What is one thing that colleges and universities should know about you?
I might not be the most talented or the most taught player but I'm going to give you my all every single snap on and off the field and also in the classroom.
5. What are you thinking of majoring in when you get to college?
I thought about sports medicine, but lately I've been thinking I should major in business due to the new NIL rule, if I learn business and how it really works I can know exactly how to better my future.
6. What is the best advice you have ever received?
When all is said and done, whether your name lives on or not, its the story you leave behind for people to remember you by.
7. Overcoming adversity is what defines character, what was the hardest moment in your life to overcome?
I believe everything happens for a reason and that the hardest moments may have been when my brother died and quarantine after high school not knowing what was next for me.
8. Do you have any offers currently?
Yes.
9. If you could sell yourself in one sentence, what would you say?
If I had a million dollars I'll bet on my team any day and be okay if losing was the outcome. Hopefully that shows you what type of man and player I am.
