PLAYER INTERVIEW: Deondre Duehart- RB-2022

Palmetto Prep Academy’s Deondre Duehart recently sat down with Stewart Dolbeare  to catch up on the upcoming season.

What made you choose Palmetto Prep Academy ?

I chose Palmetto Prep because of its dominant history of putting players into premier universities. 

What high school did you graduate from?

I graduated from Northeast high school.

What makes you a top prospect at your position in the 2022 recruiting class?

Versatility, speed, size, and strength make me a top prospect in the 2022 recruiting class. I’m able to adapt and follow directions.

What is one thing that college and universities should know about you?

Colleges should know that I am coachable. I want to learn everything possible about the sport, including the business side.

What are you thinking about majoring in when you get to college?

I want to learn about as many things as possible, I have not decided yet. 

What is the best advice you have ever received?

Stop thinking so much, and don’t compare your journey to anyone else’s.

No one should want your dreams to happen for you more than you!

Overcoming adversity is what defines character, what was the hardest moment in your life to overcome?

To be honest, a lot of my life has been challenging, so it’s hard to pinpoint a specific moment. But being able to move forward, numb my feelings, respect, and present myself well, I feel, has been the way I’ve overcome hard moments Especially sitting out a whole year because of COVID.

I try to bring my best self to people no matter the circumstances.
