PLAYER INTERVIEW: Ethan Greenberg - P - 2022

Palmetto Prep Academy's Ethan Greenberg recently sat down with Sydney Cassidy to discuss the upcoming season. 

1. What made you choose Palmetto Prep Academy?

I chose Palmetto Prep Academy because it is the right fit for me academically and athletically. It fits my academic needs because they will help me boost my writing skills. Palmetto fits my athletic needs because they provide a private coach for my kicking and punting needs, and they have a great program. 

2. What high school did you graduate from?

I graduated from Grady High School, now known as Midtown High School. 

3. What makes you a top prospect at your position in the 2022 recruiting class?

For punting, it requires consistency, and I am a consistent punter that hits a 40+ yard ball with 4.0 seconds of hang time every time I punt a football. 

4. What is one thing that colleges and universities should know about you?

I excel on the field with my punting job, but I excel in the classroom in order to maintain good grades. 

5. What are you thinking about majoring in when you get to college?

I would like to go to business school or study sports management in college. 

6. What is the best advice you have ever received?

Don't make assumptions with anyone. You don't know what they are dealing with under their skin. 

7. Overcoming adversity is what defines character; what was the hardest moment in your life to overcome?

The hardest moment I had to overcome was when I began to go to school and I did not know any English. Growing up I only spoke Russian with my parents and grandparents. Going to school knowing zero English and trying to learn a new language while trying to make new friends was challenging. 

8. Do you have any offers currently?

I do not have any offers currently. 

9. If you could sell yourself in one sentence, what would you say?

When you punt you must limit your rep count during practice, but with me it's hard to stop because I want to be the best athlete I can be.
