PLAYER INTERVIEW: GREYSON LABIAD- TE-HB-LB-2022

Palmetto Prep Academy’s  Greyson Labiad recently sat down with Stewart Dolbeare to catch up on the upcoming season.

What made you choose Palmetto Prep Academy?

I chose Palmetto Prep Academy because I wanted to further my football career in college. Palmetto prep offers great resources that will help in my journey to the next level. 

What high school did you graduate from?

I graduated from Foundation Academy High school in Winter Garden, FL, near Orlando. 

What makes you a top prospect at your position in the 2022 recruiting class?

A few of the reasons I am a top prospect are,  I’m explosive off the ball, I have outstanding hands, I move fast for my size, I can get yards after a catch, I can block and put people into the ground, and I’m much stronger than most of my competitors. 

What is one thing that college and universities should know about you?

I would want colleges and universities to know about my three main core values: discipline, dedication, and work ethic.

What are you thinking about majoring in when you get to college?

 I plan on getting a business degree.

What is the best advice you have ever received?

The best advice I’ve ever received would probably be, “Everyone makes mistakes, but it’s how you respond to adversity that shows the level of your character.” 

Overcoming adversity is what defines character, what was the hardest moment in your life to overcome?

The hardest moment in my life was when my mom and I didn’t have a place to live, and we were jumping from house to house. That was definitely a time I had to overcome adversity and keep pushing through the tough times.  However, through the adversity, I found my strength on the gridiron. 

Do you have any offers currently?

I have one Division 1 offer from the University of Idaho 

If you could sell yourself in one sentence what would you say?

I’m a disciplined and  hard-working athlete ready to learn and make a name for myself
